       While it's the last thing I recommend, I was so shocked to see that when I crashed 5 years after my hip replacement, there was no damage at all to the joint. Just goes to show how sturdy the thing is. I had to laugh reading your post above , it would appear you are becoming a misionary for the procedure. I recall a conversation we had on this 8 months ago. It is great to hear your story and hopefully somewhere on this website of well in excess of 3,000 is someone who has put off having this done and now they will move forward because of your words.

After getting over the initial shock/dissapointment that the "OE" parts weren't going to last it's the best thing I could have ever done. I'm never one to rush into things and had a plan of how I wanted everything in place before I had the surgery. It has worked out perfectly and I couldn't be happier. It definitely helped talking to people that have had the surgery. Thanks for the support and encouraging words.

I'll echo everyone else's sentiment as well.  Really glad to hear you're doing so well.  Great news!
Of course I was disappointed you didn't take me up on your offer to come down and keep the pumpkin warmed up while you were recovering , especially since the strike is probably going to delay delivery of my B&O.
Seriously - really happy to know you're working up to that "next" ride when the weather breaks.

Follow the Docotr's Orders!!  I know it is hard to do some times.  But if you listen, you will heal much faster and stay healthy much longer.  Glad to hear you are dooing well.

At least it is 20 or some thing degrees outside and the bike has to stay parked.

GARY, GOOD TO HEAR YOUR RECOVERY IS GOING WELL. SUPPOSE YOUR DOING ALOT OF SHOPPING IN THE STEALER CATALOG. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED ON WHAT CHROME PARTS YOUR GETTING AND TAKE PICS FOR US AS YOU MAKE THE CHANGES.

Gary...first, it's great to hear you are doing so well with the recovery and that you'll soon be able to squeeze your butt cheeks together like old times...

It's also good that you are encouraging others who might have this or similar issues to get it fixed.  I am surrounded by leading edge medical stuff every day in my work, and it is truely amazing the things they do now, and the reduced recovery time.

You can retire and be a "Chrome Consultant" for the dealer of your choice...nobody could do it better, that's for damn sure.

I was just thinking about you on my way back to the house tonight. It was great to hear your report. There is a guy at the steel mill I was working at that needs a hip replacement and I shared about you. He is excited to get it done as he has been limping for years like you were.
