Well I ended up ordering the chopped tour-pack. After much thought and looking at pictures. I just like the look of the chopped better. Thanks to all who posted your pictures. Now the waiting begins.

It shouldn't take too long, I think mine was actually in after 3 weeks.

How long ago was it that you ordered yours?

mine took about 6 weeks the first time, but the dealer returned it because when it came in, the lid did not have a clear coat on it    so it took an additional 4 weeks after that.

so the big takeaway here is it could be quick, or it could take a long time.  but definitely inspect it before accepting it.  if you ordered it online, hopefully the vendor will look at it before he just forwards it to you.  ordered mine from jon.horton@hornytoadhd.com  and saved a couple hundred bucks.

well I hope your happy after you get it, I know at least 2 guys that were not happy with the backrest on the chopped

What didn't they like about the backrest? I don't plan on leaving the pack on most of the time. Just getting it for overnight trips.

well, now you know at least one who is happy with it.  i think it's fine.  i have no problems with it.  i personally wouldn't want to ride with the big monster backrest of the king in the solo position.

the complaints came from their better half, you know she's the one who's got her back against it, said it didn't provide a lot of support compared to the king, If your just riding solo it's no big deal

I will only have it set up in the solo position, my better half doesn't ride.

I have to agree, I like the smaller backrest on the chopped, but like i said bought it for the packing ability for long trips.  Will tell you how I like it after we get back from our ride in the smoky mountains in a couple months.

Stopped by the dealership today to pick up my bike. They had replaced the saddlebag lids and speakers. Lids were damaged when they got the bike, and fully cover by warranty. Jokingly asked if my tour pack had come in that I had just ordered 6 days ago. The guy who sold it to me just laughed at me. I was told it could take several months to get a custom painted CVO part. Well one of the guys in parts said he thought one had come in today. He looked up my order and sure enough, it was there. The only thing that didn't come in yet was the lock keyed to my bike. It should be in any day, at that time I will pick it all up at once. Only 6 days for a CVO painted part. That has to be a record. I was told they had a black tour pack back ordered for 5 months.

Got the tour pack on the bike and pictures taken. I went with the Chopped tour pack and the detachable solo set up. My thoughts were to only use for overnight trips. Now that it's on the bike. I think it looks pretty good, I may end up leaving it on most of the time.

That's a good look.  Very distinctive. I like it a lot.
