I also posted this to HDforums, but I have a 2014 CVO Limited and I'm trying to update the GPS via NAVIextras.com  I setup the Stick as they direct and when I put the stick on my bike I keep getting Authenticating.....  I called MOCO and they had no clue (Shocker!). It's going in for a 10000 mile check next week so I may pass this off to the Dealership.  Just wondered if anyone has seen this or had any luck updating the GPS.

Are you trying to up date the maps or the firmware?

The maps..... Firmware update went flawlessly..

I didn't think that there was a map update available.
I understood update was for audio only.

You have to go to the Website Naviextras.com to get the map update..

                                                 It's MOCO's partner that handles the Navi portion of the infotainment system.

And the latest is 2013 Q2....not too old

Yea, 2013 is kinda old but it's better than 2012 which is the one on the bike

Well I went to the dealership that I purchased my CVO from and talked to a tech. First he said he could fix the problem, but upon further discussion he was talking about the 1.19.1 firmware update, which wasn't my issue. So I showed him the Database date. They also happened to have a 2015 CVO there and we compared GPS database dates and the new bike had the 2013 Q2 and a 2014 update loaded into the GPS, bow if I can get those in my bike, I'll be happy. The tech was going to contact the Tech line at MOCO, so we'll see..

Went to my local dealership for a 10000 mile check and they said they had fixed my navigation. Upon further checking they didn't know there was an update for the Navigation part of the Boom audio, they thought it was part of the firmware update 1.19.1. They are now in the process of contacting MOCO to see how the update can be done.

Update... CVO Navigation has been fixed... Shout out to American Harley in Leominster, Mass for working diligently to get 'er done for me. Happy Camper !

What was the charge to update to a year newer version?

And do you know how they did it?

They didn't charge me for the update. If you have a CVO the update is Free, however if you have a Limited it's $150.00

    They did the update as a courtesy. I'm not sure exactly what they did, as they were working with the Tech department at Harley.

Boom Box owner's manual indicates three (3) free navigation updates are available for download for CVO's - over a five year period.
