Was having problems with my 06 cvo 103. Think it is my pistons so took the motor apart and was gonna put in the pistons and jugs i took off of my other 06 cvo 103. Then when i went to put them on the pistons for my other one are tapered. I guess some of the 06 seuc had tapered and some were squared? I know one was built in nov i think and the other was in june. If i remember right could be wrong. Not having very good luck here with this bike. I didn't think they changed to tapered till 07 on everything.

your right,`07 is when every motor went to the tapered rods
-
Strange that my other one had tapered rods just being made a little later in the year. Would really screw someone ordering pistons if you didn't have the bike taken apart yet.

I have a 05SEEG that has square connecting rods and an 06SEFB that had tapered. My Fatboy is a October build, they must have changed them in mid 06.

when i had my motor built i had dark horse change rods and machine my se pistons to fit my rods very happy sofar

I saw "When was connecting rod changed to square?" at the same moment I saw "Panhead"
Sorry, Bro. It's the little things in life sometimes! ;D ;D ;D

And the corresponding piston and flywheel changes at that same time changed the motor weights and balance considerably.
The pistons for the dickhead rods have added material and weigh more than their earlier counterparts.
Send the crank to Randy and have R&R rebalance the assembly
