Hot Citrus and Antique Gunstock touch up paint
« on: July 25, 2015, 01:10:26 PM »

Hi All,
I have just returned from a 2000 mile tour of Europe on my 2012 CVO streetglide. Had a mishap, Caught the top of the saddle back on a wall trying to manoeuvre round a car. Luckily only caught the bottom edge of the  saddle bag lid, so need to touch it up.
Can anyone help me in finding either a colour match code or some touch up for both the colours.
Thanks And ride safe.

Paint codes are a frequently discussed topic on this website and for the most part they are almost impossible to get. Harley likes to keep that info secret. Any Harley dealer should be able to get you touch-up paint set though. It is more expensive than stock paint.
If you have large area to cover then may need to take the motorcycle to a paint supplier so they can try to match paint with an electronic paint matching system. Otherwise members on this site trust some site members who post threads about their painting business to repaint the parts or new replacement parts.

Good luck with your search.

Hi VA Eagle,
Thanks for the reply, I'll try to get my U.K. Dealer to get one, but they are not very helpful with things like this.
If Anyone can supply me with a part number for the paint touch up, I'm in Vegas in September for a vacation, so I'll ask the Vegas dealer to sort one for me, it will be easier.
Thank again.

The part number for the touch up kit is 98601DKX  and the MSRP is $36.15 in the US.

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for that, I take it that's the number is a Harley OEM part number.

That is the H-D part number for the kit that contains both colors.  Each color is in a small 1/2 ounce bottle with a brush-in-cap screw on lid.  The kit doesn't include the clear coat, you would need to buy that separately.

I wouldn't count on the touch up paint matching though. Mine did not.....just saying.
