Rob - I have the same bike/same problem but figured out a workaround.  If you turn off the bike with IPOD playing, it happens nearly every time.  If I switch to any other mode BEFORE you turn of the ignition, it works fine on next start.  It only took me 5,022 miles to figure it out...


Not anymore. Figured that out in another thread a a while back. I do still have intermittent problems with the Ipod though. Last 2 mornings there was no sound when I started out first thing. Yesterday I just switched thru the other functions (AM FM CD WB XM) and back to ipod and it started working. This morning I did it three times and it would play for about 1 second on ipod but then no sound.

Anyone else with this or similar?

I've been having the same problem with my Ipod. I can't seem to find any pattern as to when it works or when it doesn't. When it quits I just switch over the XM for a while and then return to the Ipod. Maybe one day someone will sacrifice their bike for a few months, so a stealer can try to figure it out.

 I'm not positive but there might of been a radio update. It's best to check with your dealer.
