Which extras come along with the bike
« on: February 22, 2012, 12:23:44 PM »

Hello from Germany. In the next weeks (depanding on weather) I will pick up my brand new 2012 CVO SG. I could read in this fantastic forum different articles about "the gold key" and the "CVO cover". Could someone tell me what else comes along with the bike. Please take in mind that I have a European model. Thanks in advance.

Ride safe.

HHP, I can't answer your question but I might suggest you have your dealer print out a copy of the information Harley gives him regarding the extra items that are included with the CVO models.  Trust me, he either has the information or he can easily get it for you.

Export models do not necessarily get the same things that the domestic bikes do, so the guys here in the USA might get something you won't.  For instance, the CVO Ultra's come with a garage door opener kit in the USA, but they do not in Europe.  I'm not sure if the Street Glide has any similar differences.

HHP:

Several "extras" come to mind, that I believe all CVOs have:
Custom CVO paint and certain CVO restricted parts...for now.
110ci (1800CC) engine and SE Compensator
Extra chrome, lots of chrome!
Steel braided cables (US bikes have these, not sure about Europe)
Premium Sound system w/CB radio, amplifier and iPod in right saddlebag
Navigation...(useless for me, but I'm spoiled having used Garmin for the last 8 years.)
Cigarette lighter (on ultra...not sure about others)
Custom chrome wheels
Custom cover
annnnd....CVO Gold Key (Some of the guys, including me have put those onto a gold chain for their significant others, just to make them useful.  My wife loves hers.)

Not sure if that is what you're looking for, but thought I'd chime in anyhow.

Enjoy your new ride and share some pictures as soon as you can.   :2vrolijk_21:

You said that you received some kind of plug covers, for your saddle bags where the speakers plug in. Do you have a part number for that package of plug covers? No dealer knows what I am talking about. I am trying to get a set. Thanks

it should be listed in your owner's manual, but hd calls it a weather cap kit.

for my 2013 cvo rgc, which has the saddlebag connectors, it is pn 25700176 (2 ea)
the kit also comes with caps for the fairing lower connectors, pn 72533-06  (2 ea)
