Congrats Tim!! The radio is actually easy to use once you get some time with it. I use my iPhone 5S for most of my music. iTunes radio works like Sat but doesn't cost anything. Get up with me when you wanna ride.

I was using my phone with the USB for the first few weeks but every time you stop your pulling it out and then having to reconnect again, and since the system remembers the last source connected before you shut down you loose this as well and then it transfers back to FM so you have to go through all the search and find setup BS, the Bluetooth works ok but you don't have much selectivity once you start your music, you can flip through the songs but you cant change artist or albums or playlists, the best solution I found was to just hook up 32G USB memory stick loaded with all my music, now I have full access to all the music while I ride and when I start the bike up it comes right back to the USB connection and starts playing the last song played before I shut down

There is no comparison between the radio and mp3's, at least twice the dynamic range and clarity, I won't even waste my time with any radio feed or XM for that matter, not sure what your referring to with SMS, I'm a little slow tonight worked 12 hrs my brain can't think in acronyms

After riding all weekend ,have everything figured out,xm  reception is horrible ,when trees on both sides of the road,so using my Iphone and Ipod most of the time,Will not pay for xm after 3 month trail runs out,Philip I,m going to do the Angel Ride Saturday over by Foley Alabama,Lynard Skynard after the ride  .Riding over to Mobile Harley Tuesday,to exchange the short hwy pegs for the long extensions cant close the shorts with out touching the lowers.
