Fairing for CVO Deluxe?
« on: November 16, 2014, 09:00:39 PM »

I am going to be purchasing my wife a new bike.  We've narrowed it down to a Deluxe... the question still remaining is CVO or not.  But the basis for that question remaining is not the usual reasoning...

She wants to have the option of a removable fairing for some of our longer rides, but is concerned that a suitable paint job to accentuate with the art deco designs on the CVO might not be available, and therefore is leaning toward a standard Deluxe that I would then load up with options to give her a lot of what the CVO delivers from the factory.

So... have any of you put a fairing on your CVO Deluxe?  I'd LOVE to see pictures.

Thanks in advance.

I had the same thoughts a few month ago and took the decision for the CVO. Main decision maker was not to waste too much money on an ordinary Deluxe load up with options. With the CVO I have most of the goodies where I am looking for and hopefully a better value when I will sell it.

Attached  a link about a company in Germany who make detachebale fairings for all Harley modells. You should have much more companys in the States. With the paint job that should be no problem it is only a question what you are willing to spent.

Mine is a Woody's faring. I'll have better pics if I ever get it back from paint.

Sixgun, I would love to see it after paint.  Are you doing a single color?  Two tone with a pin stripe?  Or some kind of graphic to complement the Airflow graphic on your tank?

Joe with Xtreme Dimension can match the CVO colors just fine and his customer service is second to none. He can usually acquire aftermarket parts for you then paint them and ship them to you. or you can buy the parts and have them shipped straight to him. Look him up under vendor discounts in a thread titled custom paint. He does awesome work..
