Clock in odometer?
« on: October 17, 2015, 10:17:36 PM »

Not sure how or maybe its always been there and my aged mind doesn't recall it but as scrolling through my odometer this afternoon there appears to be a clock. It is located between Remaining Fuel and the odometer mileage as I scroll through. Question is does anyone know how to set it or how it has shown up? If I hold the trip reset down while clock is displayed it will toggle between 12hr and 24hr mode. Just curious now how to set the time. Amazing how after 55,000 miles I just now have found it.

Thanks
David

 Dave,

Sorry. I tried to move this to the Screaming Eagle Road Glide board but something went wrong.  A Global moderator will have to give us a hand. I have notified them.

On prior year models you held the trip/reset button in while the clock was displayed.  This caused first hours then minutes to flash.  Can't say it's the same on yours but have seen several behave that way.

Setting it should be in your owner's manual though.  If the manual isn't handy make a login for yourself at the HD website and you can access an online version of your owner's manual.  Should be able to do that here:

I will go play with it some more. Just surprised me to see it. I looked through the owners manual on this bike and honestly the only clock setup that it shows is for the one in the radio. I'll keep digging....lol

The speedo's I've seen with the clock internal were Road King / Heritage / Fatboy types.  Dash mounted stuff.  Never noticed in a dash mounted speedo myself either.  Of course kind of like what you're saying; never really looked for it either since the display in the radio was obvious.

Share what you find, you've got me curious know  :drink: .

This is what I  am guessing is a clock that I don't remember.

Thank you Twolane. I got it set as you said by playing with the reset button. Pushing and holding takes you through the 12-24 hr format, then pressing and holding again will allow you to toggle through the minute and hour settings. Now I am wondering how it got there. I know I am old and my mind has a tendency to wonder but I swear it's never been there before.
