Bump for Mr. P.

Second stereo amp and speakers is gone with only 4,000 miles on the bike since first warranty fix of amp and one speaker left hand side 5.25. Work was done the first time at 3,990 miles in July 21, 2012. Thinking of calling HD customer service and let them know (not that they care).

Called customer care and they transferred me to the customer care for the on-line store. The lady there said there are no stereo parts available for the 2011 FLHXSE, but there are for 2010 and 2012 FLHXSE's. I asked if I can put the two amps from the 2012 into my 2011 and she said she will have talk to a tech guy and call me back. She did ask for the part number to the amp and the replacement part number the dealer list on my warranty was 76000141, but she said she found nothing for the 2011's.

My question is can I use the 2012 amps in my 2011? If no, what aftermarket options for replacement did anybody here use?

I have a brand new , never installed , replacement amp that was from HD . I replaced the whole system before i got this amp from them and jus kept it .. let me know if ur interested .. its in my office and I can send pics if needed .. thanx

Unfortunately, Barefoots amp didn't work, so I'm going with an aftermarket replacement for the amp and speakers and possibly the radio. I can't wait to toss the hd stuff since it's crap.

Brutal.....well once the extended warranty is done I will be upgrading my head unit via Iron Cross. Till then they can keep replacing it.....they might get it right before the warranty is up....lol.

Lost my second amp or radio head unit today. Keeps cutting in and out alternately from left to right. Thank goodness for extended warranty.

Well at least the dealer confirmed that the boards just break up from the vibration. With the newer bikes going away from the HK unit this problem will slowly be swept under the carpet and forgotten.
