$150.00 is lot less expensive than the $470.00 HD wants for the CVO screen. I do like the vent in the CVO screen though.

I purchased a Freedom Shield, and I love it. I have had other manufactures on previous bikes. I love the 18" recurve that I purchased, I am 6'3" and it is awesome. Cannot say enough Good things about John and his team. I have the good fortune of living a few hundred miles away. I took a beautiful ride up throught the mountians to the shop. His team helped me tryout a shield and test ride it. They are fantastic. You cannot go wrong.

Do you have the one that goes on the CVO windshield brackets?

If so do you think the 16 would work for some one 6'1" ?

I think the 16 would be right - the 17 would have worked fine for me as well but I sit tall in the seat and liked the 18 better. Semper Fi.

Well I talked to John today at Freedom Shields.  Ended up deciding to try the 18 inch in Medium tint.  I am hoping it will work with my 14" apes.

I guess I will know in a couple weeks, they are say 3 or 4 days before it ships.

I did try the Freedom Shield in the 18".

Very well made, and fits the 13/14 CVO windshield brackets perfect.  It looks very good on the bike.  I had to move my 14 inch apes back about 1.5" so it did not hit the bars.

On the test ride there was no vibration at any speed unto 90 mph, which was as fast as I went.  Unfortunately for me, I still had buffeting at my Ears and my sunglasses.

If I was not running 14" apes, I would have gone back and tried the 20" to see if it work for me.  This is a good looking shield.

So for me, at this time I am staying with the factory CVO windscreen.

In order to stop the wind buffeting , I found that I had to install the front fork wind deflectors.  Not exactly the look I wanted but after a week  I did not notice. Well worth it when you ride 15 k a year. NO wind at all   Billy

Dave, do you have the 18" Freedom Shield or did you return it? I'd be interested if it fits on the stock mounts.

It was returned to Freedom Shields for a refund.  It does fit on the stock mounts, and to my knowledge the only shield that does fit the stock mounts other than the stock shield.

Just installed the Klock Werks Flare 16.5 tinted windshield.  Ordered black mounting brackets and black powder coated bolts off ebay.  So far all seems good.  The Klock Werks is not as thick as the freedom shields.  They both have the curve but I went with the Klock Werks mainly because it seems wider and I felt it would keep more of the air off my hands.

I am a satisfied consumer of Clearview products.  Their recurve design works well/no buffeting even when nearing the top end of the speedometer.  And exceptional customer service to boot.      http://www.clearviewshields.com/shop/harley-davidson/
