Alarm
« on: August 16, 2015, 04:56:14 PM »

When I sit on my bike with my key in my pocket the alarm beeps a few times and the dash lights flash. Not all the time. I put a new battery in the fob. Any idea?
Thanks Bill

Mine does the same thing occasionally, it has gone into full alarm a couple of times for a few seconds. The only thing I can think is that the signal is so weak it can get disrupted by the placement of the fob in the pocket or how many layers it may be under. Sporadic issues like that are hard to isolate to a particular set of circumstances.

Mine has done the same thing...I changed the battery in the fob, it still does it once in a while. Doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I just chalked it up to a Harley thing.

Same here just whenever it feels like it, not all the time.

Same here....sometimes it recognizes the fob right off.  Occasionally, it takes a second and chirps on me.  Nothing bothersome.  I'm guessing if it's been a few days since I've been on it, it may be in some sort of sleep mode and it takes a few seconds to wake which would cause the chirp.  It doesn't seem to matter where I have the fob for it to sporadically go through this.

My alarm is starting to chirp more and more every time I get on her. Any thoughts? Can I shut it off for good/
