Carlini handlebars on my Breakout
« on: May 07, 2013, 08:20:29 AM »

Okay guys, I know my bullet headlight was a complete failure with you guys so please disregard the fact that it's still installed on the bike, and tell me what you think of the Carlini 'Bag Drags' on this bike??  I think these bars complement the bike perfectly with little modification.

The front brake line will need to be lengthened about 2", but other than that, the installation went flawlessly.  :coolblue:

Here are few pictures:

the Carlini's look good on the breakout.  From the side, the headlight you installed looks good, too.  It's just the comments from the others concerning the "gap".  More than how they looks, how to the bars feel compared to stock?

I'm extremely pleased with everything about the bars.  The rise and pull back dimensions are both nearly identical to the OEM bars, so they feel great with just a couple degrees of additional grip angle.  Also, once I have a longer brake line made the bars can be turned up a bit more, but I think I like them at the current angle to keep the low profile drag look.

I'll be re-installing the OEM headlight tomorrow and I will take some pictures from the front as well.

The pipes are the correct model # for the Breakout and the fitment is perfect.

I think all your mods look good.  But I would put the passenger pillion back on, just doesn't look right to me without it-don't like the exposed bolts.

It's a bold change and I think they look sharp. Find your own look...it's all about trial and error...that's part of the fun!

This is my solution to the hardware sticking out .I made new nuts and anodized them black.

I like the look of those bars. How do they affect your seating position while riding?

Thanks everyone for the feedback!  :coolblue:

I actually got to ride the bike for the first time today after the installation and I was very pleased with the over all ergonomics of the bars. They make the bike more comfortable to ride and seem to be a little easier to navigate around in traffic, however a little of that could be due to the fact that I dropped it a couple of inches as well...  :-\
