Bars are Done on the Dogfish....
« on: July 02, 2013, 05:21:51 PM »

Had to show this one off. The monotubes, 944's and Outlawz 612's have made the scoot so much for the better!!! Handling and comfort ++++

Looks great! Is that a KW windscreen, and how well does it work on the highway?

Thanks for the props, pretty good start on the mods and I wouldn't undo any of them, unlike the '03 that has been thru 3-4 makeovers....

East Coast, the grips are Roland Sands Trackers and I'm liking em alot. The Renthal grips will make you want some kind of glove on long rides, takes me back to the dirt bike days...
Barmats, the screen is a Cee Bailey's unit, the dome job in light smoke. I'm quite happy with it, you get air but its calm air and the tunes are clear. I'm 6' and have a 14" Windvest for long hauls and have yet to put it back on...

Sharp!  Previous owner of my SKUNK put on CHROME 12" FATT bars...they look great....feel great...etc....but they are a "traditional" bar and are so wide I can't open the pockets without turning the bars.  I don't really use the pockets much, so it's not a big deal..but the eventual "scuffing" etc..is a concern over the long haul!  I'd be happy to have the set up you have FOR SURE!  Looks great!   :bananarock:

Skippy - longer hyd line for the clutch and that was it.......  B.M. - not too happy with the 944's when we are 2 up and loaded for a two week run. Gonna put the 440's from the '03 on and make sure all is good around town and try it that way for our hwy 20 tour in WA. What a diff an 1" of travel makes!!! Loving those bars for comfort and heaving the bike around  :2vrolijk_21:
