Hi.

Still waiting.....   and the dealer is waiting.

If some one have or can scan in the pages from the parts book that shows the grip with cable it would be nice.
this for SESG and SEUG

I'm getting down to the dealer today to pick up the bike after they have added some mods and dynoed it.
Just with air, tuner and muffs it shows 150 nm@ 3500 on the back weel  and the guys the just smiled :)

I'll update the hread when i got the info from the dealer regarding the grips.....

That would be so cool if all we had to do was change the connector. Last year I just bought a pair of heated gloves. Pain in the butt, but when its that cold who cares!

Ok, Took the bike to an aftermarket bike guy, trying to have the Heat Demons installed, after taking the bike apart , and talking to a reamer, and Hear Demons, they would not do the job, they were  afraid that it would weeken the handbars. They called a Harley dealer and was told , there is no Heat available for the SESG.

So I am asking if any one would has done it with the Harley, if you could find all the part numbers and post them as it looks like it depends on the parts guy being able to do his job.

BTW- they did say it looks like it is pre-wired for heat grips from Harley..... :nixweiss:

There Service Manger and the Service Tech disagreed on what to do

I had it done at Lake Shore HD in Libertyville, IL.  Service guy is Kory.  My name is Derek, he will remember my SESG(spiced rum) and be able to hook you up by pulling my order.  Hope this helps.

Cool, hope it works out for you. I love them, even in 80 degrees I have them on 1 to reduce fatigue.

FYI-

George,

We used the replacement grips from a FLHTCUSE part #s55911-09a and 55913-09. The right side throttle should have the wires in bar and fairing only needing to be connected at grip and in fairing. The left grip will need to be wired internal.

The bar  has enough room to pull the wiring sans connectors its not easy but can be done. Some reliefing may be needed on the switch housing in some cases not to pinch the wiring.

Thanks,

Kory

Hi,

It took a while before i got answers on this on.  Or the correct was that HD europe "refuse" to answer the quest they got from my dealer, when they checked for this internally.
Kory have  the answer :) order FLHTCUSE part #s55911-09a and 55913-09.

But as curious i was i had to check and verify  for myself...
What we did was to go true the spare part book for SESG and FLTHCUSE and checked part by part. It was all the same except for the left end stub on the electronic throttle control. Then we checked the handlebar on the bike. On the first check earlier the dealer climbed after he have checked that the heater connector was NOT on the bike. What we did now was to dissemble the right handle bar to look closer and then we found that the connector was blended with a larger plastic cap 20mm instead for the small 10mm as normally. when we removed that it was all there :)

So to resume the conclusion: Order the FLTHCUSE heated handlebar if you can:) not as easy for all to order the original CVO heater as they require the vin no. The wiring is all complete on the right side, just remove the end cap on the throttle control and hook it on. On the left side there "are" enough space to pull the wire true, just work patient with it.

Org HD should then be bolt on...  but as everything else expensice..
Heat demons are cheaper BUT it would weaken the handle bar, and why risk any critical situation ??

Just nice to know.....
