Backlit Medalion
« on: February 18, 2014, 03:05:44 PM »

I just purchased a new 2014 CVO Deluxe. I read in the brochures that the tank CVO medallion was backlit.  But mine is not.  Does anyone know if this is true, that the medallion is lit on not.  Or is mine on my CVO just broke.  Thank you in advance and glad there is a forum like this.

Mine does light up as soon as I flip the switch to run.

I wish I could ride.  I'll let our three feet of snow melt first  Don't know this bike rides like, only 4/10ths mile on it.  Hauling the bike to Florida soon!

I know this is late, but yes, mine lights up red as soon as I flip to run (I have the Maple one - Not sure if the badge changes color depending on the bike or not).

Did you get it fixed as of yet?

Thanks for the reply.   I took it to the dealer today.  Mine is also Maple.  I hope it is just a wire lose instead having to wait for a new lamp. as the dealer stated he would have to order it from Harley direct.  Its all good, if that's all that I have to complain about.  other than that I am loving it.  Its good to be alive and Riding....   :pineapple:

the maple is my favorite color of the three, but I didn't like the brown leather so much.  I settled for the red, but it's a little loud.  Had the dealer swap the tires to black walls.  Can't wait to ride it! Sucks to have bike payment and can't ride it.  One more week, Florida I come...

Ok, Good news I received my Deluxe back from the dealer today.  All is well with the light according to their documentation "console led disconnected at terminal".  So now I am a happy rider.  Thank you all for the responses, happy & safe riding.  :)

Springer,

Yes I am referring to the one on the tank.  It is a red bar & Shield.
