Corbin Solo on a '15 SESG
« on: October 30, 2014, 01:21:13 PM »

I know someone posted a pic of a Corbin classic solo on a new '15 but I can't find it. Does nayone know if they make you take the 2 rear bolts that hold the stock seat off or are they covering them up or re-using them to hold the rear bracket. i called Corbin, but of course they could not tell me anything. They don't even have it documented that it fits a '15 CVO Street Glide.

I've had three Corbin solo seats (nothing newer than a 2011 SG) and every one of them used the two studs through the fender to attach the seat brackets and then the seat leather covers the nuts and studs.

If I remember correctly from my '11, the ones on my '15 are longer. That's why I am asking....

I have a Corbin Solo on my 15 SG CVO. Fits just fine. Had same seat on my 14. Bolts are not longer than I can tell. No issues at all.

So no special instructions when ordering from Corbin since they say it does not fit??

Thanks

The frame has not changed from 14 to 15. There is no reason why it should not fit. So, no. No special instructions.

Pickys please Mr Tlr,
nice to see that seat on the new Cvo street, is it really comfy long haul? I've only had mustangs.

It is very comfy and supportive. Have done several 200-300 days and no issue. I will never have a seat for a long haul w/o a backrest. Makes a big difference to me.

The angle is adjustable and easy to do. I do not believe that the height can be adjusted.

I have done several 700-800 mile days on Corbin solo seats--very comfortable. Will be ordering one for my '15 CVO Street Glide over the winter.

Does anyone know if the corbin touring or hollywood(50's style) pillons have any mounting issues with the Solo seat since now the SG have those fender guards mounted right behind the seat?

Thanks

I have a corbin solo with back rest on my BMW GSA...great seat, but you need to be aware that the seat is bloody heavy!  I also found issues with the height adjustment feature on the GSA...not sure if there is such a thing on the seat for the CVO.  I have put on 1000 mile days on the seat with out  issue.  I would buy another Corbin for this CVO bike without hesitation.  Spook
