Andrews final drive pully
« on: August 20, 2014, 08:56:38 AM »

Has anyone used one of the aftermarket final drive pullys?
There is a 30 and 31 tooth option, and I know with the 30 you have to put an aftermarket final drive belt on as well.

I'm using the Andrews 30T on my 08 SERK.  I like the results for the low end.  Many think makes it too much like the old 5 speed tranny but I like it.  Thought about putting a 31T on the SESG but haven't to date.

No I have three scoots.  I'll leave the 08 with the 30T.  On my 11 SESG I'm thinking about the 31T.  The reason for the 31T in the 2011 is, if I understand correctly, I can use the HD / Gates belt.  I've had a Falcon belt on my 02 SERK, never again.

The single biggest issue that's been heavily reported here and elsewhere with the 30 tooth sprocket is belt failure using the aftermarket belts.  You might want to do some serious research on that problem before going much further.  One of the vendors on the site, Steve of Fulsac, has a thread showing a modification to the swingarm that allowed enough rear axle travel to let you use the stock belt.  You could look into that as well.
