I am trying to update the firmware to a newer version but must be doing something wrong, hopefully someone here can help me out with some advice.
I downloaded the zip file to the included USB memory stick but when I plug it in to the USB port on the Motor cycle the only message that comes up is that the stick does not contain any media that can be played. (Like music)
Any suggestions to what I am missing here? :nixweiss:

That is what I followed and can not make it work.

you have to extract the file from the zip file. you don't want the zip file on the memory stick, just the file that is within the zip file. make sense?
-
It does, I will give it another try on my work PC in the am. Not sure if it is interference with my spyware software at home.

You said you put the zip file on the USB drive, I believe that the zip file is to be down loaded to your desktop on your computer. Recommend re-reading instructions again and slowly go step by step.

That is what I did do, downloaded to PC hard drive, extracted file, then copied to thumb drive = no go.
(Sorry my initial statement was somewhat unclear)
I believe it is interference with the antivirus software, at least I hope it is, will try on another PC in the am.

Thanks,
That's the instructions I followed.

is the memory stick larger than 8 gb? is it formatted as fat?
i've heard issues with updating before and those turned out to be the sticking points.
-
I use the stick that came with the motorcycle.

So it was as I thought, the antivirus software interfered with the HD update.
Worked like a charm on my other PC, downloaded it, extracted the files, plugged in to the HD and 6 minutes later all 7 updates where installed.
Really simple process when everything is working :2vrolijk_21:

You do have to open it first. I had issues with my file as well. Seem to be the antivirus software on my PC that interfered. Tried on another PC with another brand of antivirus software and then it worked perfectly fine.

I tried another computer (Apple). I downloaded it and when I open the zipped file I see 8 files. Armie, bin, etc, ETFS, lib, etc. which one do you pick? I must be doing something wrong but clearly I don't know what. Appreciate your help.

I have no experience with Mac computers, sorry, all mine are Windows based.
