I always thought Harley boots were made by Wolverine pretty sure they are American made not Chinese

Wolverine World Wide is based in Rockford, MI but their products are made all over the world.

Wolverine is the company with the license to make boots for H-D.  However, they haven't been made in the USA in a long time.  I've owned a couple pair over the past fourteen years and they were both made in China, as were all the other ones I've looked at during that time in various dealerships.

The name of the company selling and distributing things these days has nothing whatsoever to do with where the products are actually made.  Ask the millions of people in the USA who have worked for such companies and watched their jobs be shipped to Mexico, India, China, etc..  The brand name doesn't change, and the prices rarely drop either.  But the profits soar to new heights.

I have had my FXRG boots for 5 yrs great pair of boots.  Very comfortable.  I was thinking I needed a new pair until I had a lady at one of the Harley event polish them and make them look like new again.

Does someone know what model of Wolverine boots are supposed to be the same?

I have a pair of the HD Riddick boots, and really like them.  They're much more comfortable than I expected, and I've used them for more than just riding.  I do hate the facts that they're made in China and are still so expensive.  Harley has got to have some of the highest profit margins on Earth with their merchandise.

There are several boots out there that are much more comfortable (and water proof) than any boot that Harley has their name on.......and, for a whole lot less money.

You might want to test drive a pair of Original Swat 9" Classics w/side zipper or a pair of Cruiserworks boots.  Both just a much, much more comfortable, lighter and better grip soled boot. :2vrolijk_21:

Learned that one on a trip to Cali myself!  Got 'em!  Love 'em!

I bought a pair of water proof boots couple years ago.  The first rain storm I got caught, I found the boots filled with water and the water didn't leak out!  Waterproof means water gets in, but can't get out

I'm on my 2nd pair of HD boots with the Vibram bottoms. Very comfy.  As for where they're made, I hate to tell you but much of your motorcycle also comes from china. If a fact of life...

Well found out something interesting while trying to get new FXRG boots this month.  The FXRG-5 is no longer available to be ordered by dealers, tried several, all had the same answer.  They are no longer on Harley's boot web site either.  Only what dealers have left is out there.  The dealers can still order the FXRG-3 boot.

My FXRG-3's are four or five years old and just started leaking bad this spring.  Soles are very worn as is the uppers.

I planned to replace them with the new FXRG-5, but ended up having to get the FXRG-3's again.

They are a good boot.

Is anything made here anymore?  Try to find an athletic shoe that's made in the U.S.  I've got a pair of HD boots I've had since 2002 and other than having to shoe-glue the soles back on a few months ago, they've held up well.
