2007 Motor Work
« on: December 03, 2014, 10:26:17 PM »

Pretty dang excited about this bike.  Had a bit of an issue with some runout on the bottom end (0.029).  Decided to upgrade things a bit.  Stroked and cut cases for 4.125 cylinders for 124" of awesomeness.  Every bike should run like this.

Hi Desert,

What Cam is in your bike, the original SE255?
What about compression, still at 9.34/1?
Did you install a bigger TB?
Did you install performance heads?

Regards,

Aussie

Heads are stock 110", but have been ported.
Cams are S&S 585.
HPI 58mm throttle body.
Compression is at 10.4 which is easily achieved with flat top Pistons and a .030 head gasket.  No cutting of the heads needed.

it really is a great running bike and should run for a good long time without needing anything.  It's a pretty mild build but has gobs of power everywhere.

I'm looking at maybe your set-up, ( SE 260 cams with 4.9 injectors ).
Where did you get your kit from? Very limted in Australia.
Other option, Andrews 48H cams, alot less $$$$$.
currently have 96hp 114tq.
After more punch around 2500-5500 range

Desertwndrr,

Very nice, bet it does run great.

This is a super combination for the guy that wants a little bit more and wants to tour.

Congrats and enjoy.

Sorry.  I just saw your post Don.  You ported the heads.  And you did a really clean job on them!
