Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars / Cables
« on: February 06, 2015, 01:40:54 PM »

I am planning to put the 12" Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars on my 2015 SG , and I wonder if is this handlebars need to change the stock cables ? It is written on Paull Yaffe's website that 10" and 12" monkey bars can use the stock cables and no need to get longer cables or extension . Is any one did this setup before? I appreciate your advice .
Thanks
Amr

Per Paul Jaffe shop in person last week, cables are NOT needed for 10" or 12" monkey bars on the 2015 CVO Street Glide. However, most installers assume that because they used to be necessary on older models that they still are so they order cables and install them. NOT necessary, call Jaffe in Phoenix direct to verify.

Thanks, Pamarella!  I am debating between 10 and 12" and having to do the cable swap was swaying me towards the 10s.

I hope you're not in any hurry for them. Guys have been posting on the RG forum that it's about a 3 month wait, and that's if they don't lose your order.

10" will work, but your arms will block the mirrors.  Not a big deal.

I just did the 10" extended wiring but lines were fine. Looks like 12" would be really tight to me. Others have said it is doable but I would get longer brake and clutch lines if I went 12"
