Big Boys and Their Toys
« on: February 10, 2015, 08:37:36 PM »

I guess being single has some benefits.   I don't have to ask for permission.   Last week I traded my 2013 CVO road Glide for the 2015 CVO Road Glide.    But ...... I miss miss the Custom Road Glide so much that today I purchased a Starfire Black/Gold Dust Flames 2015 CVO Street Glide.  Pictures to follow.  i pick it up tomorrow and it off to my favorite shop for some extras.

Ah, being single.  I recall those days...buying motorcycles instead of new dining room furniture.  Enjoy.

The motorcycles WERE the dining room furniture when you were single.

Now you need to acquire another (3rd) CVO, so that you have one to ride while the other 2 are in the shop :nervous:

Have to agree with above comments, and also ask, why do you need more than one, just being rich and owning more than one does not require telling everyone..  I am single and if I owned two I wouldn't be telling everyone "LOOK at Me"

I agree, being blessed with a job that rewards us well for working hard is what allows us to buy these overpriced toys that we love to hate ( at times ).

I think you may have taken Jesse's comment out of context.
You must admit that in order to own several CVO's,one must be well off financially, and if one is single then one typically has more discretionary spending available to him.
But, in this case I agree with Jesse, the wealthy part outweighs the single part.

IMHO If an individual has the means and the desire to Purchase one ...or 10 (Motorcycles.Cars,Boats etc.) then that is their prerogative and passion.  I personally can't afford to live that way but I applaud those that can, and most of my friends that can live that way do not throw it in  anyone's face, they are just good people.  One of my favorite sayings in life is ... WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF ME IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS.  words I like to live by  :)

Buy 15 bikes if you can.  My comment was taken way outta context which happens here a lot from the butthurt brigade. Enjoy those scooters and rubber side down.

Jswerve: I think most of us, if not just about all, didn't find anything wrong with your comment.  Funny, if you go to the Street Glide forum, you'll see post after post of guys announcing their new bike purchases...I guess for some forum members it's OK to tell everyone you bought one new CVO, just not two (or three).

This is strange...you agreeing with me.  All I've ever said is not to be a goaltender/goalie in anyone's life.  If you have the money, buy what ever you want.  When you take my money, then it's a problem!

I just spent $4000 on freekin tile for my living room and Fire place....and we are re doing a powder room in the house as well.  My $7000 tax return is long gone!  I didn't need to do this....I wanted to!

If someone is able to fork out the "Clevelands" to make the purchase, I don't care how many HD,s they buy! More power to them! If they want to shout it from their rooftop, go right ahead!
And if I get tired of hearing about it, I'll go to a different thread!

How did I take it out of context? I quoted his entire negative comment. As I look through the threads on this forum, I see one negative comment after another from this member. Just tell me how to block him and I  won't have to look at it anymore. BTW 3 CVO's barely cover the expense of a nice high end car, I'm happy for the OP. He's excited about his bikes, I would be too and he came on here to shout it from the rooftops. Good for him

There is nothing in the software that will allow you to block a member's post from showing up in threads... however what you can do is when you see a post from a member that you prefer not to see is not read them. :nixweiss:

If you have the person on ignore their post shows as being a post there, but you don't see the text unless you click on show post.

When she asked why I needed more than one bike,
I told her, "The same reason that I need more than one girlfriend..."

I stand (sit) corrected... it does work as Unbalanced stated :2vrolijk_21:... previously ignore was for messages only I thought (being a moderator I shouldn't/don't use that feature). Thanks for the info.

No worries Mark. There's always a couple of keyboard warriors. I just add 'em to the ignore list  ;)
