ACfixer, that would give you a little calmer/quieter air at your face than I have with the 14".  Freedom actually recommended the 15" for me but I did not want to have the top edge of the windshield right in my line of sight. As OBB stated there is very little distortion at the recurve.  Greg has some pics of his medium tint on the forum and it looks pretty good.  A little darker than OBB but you can still see through it.

Thanks for all the input and warm welcomes guys. Yeah Ron, I think that's where I'll start... I'll try the Freedom 15" in medium and report my findings. They offer what appears to be a pretty solid return policy if the size isn't right so I may as well give 'em a shot.

Beautiful bike. Great color choice, I have the same one. Lol

Sitting here waiting for UPS with my 14" dark smoke Freedom Shield. Soon as it gets here I'll put it on, take it for a test drive and then post up some pics. Haven't seen a dark one yet so I'm hoping it isn't too dark for those few occasions at night where I do look through it.

You made a great choice, AC.  My opinion of the Freedom is the same as others that sing those praises.  I was impressed with the quality of the shield but the optics looking through the shield is second to none.  I have no distortion with the curve of the Freedom and LOTS with the stock offerings.

Welcome to the site, AC.  I agree with the others, good choice of bike, and good choice of color!
I went with the SoftBrake as I agree, the position of the stock brake lever is horrible.  I really like it (see my thread on the review with pictures here:  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?board=42.0).
I also installed Kuryakyn footboard extenders, which I really think you'd benefit from (also have a thread with the review here:  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=102832.msg1327798#msg1327798).
Lastly, I ordered a 13" Freedom Shield in medium tint, but it was way too short, so sent it back for a 15" and am hoping it won't be too tall.  It's 3/4" taller than the stock windshield so we'll see!
PM me if you have any questions on the products, and good luck with yer new scoot!

Thank you RGlideKid (and everyone else!). I've put 500+ miles on the bike now and have started making some decisions and one of them is the SoftBrake lever. I kind of got used to having my boot underneath the stock brake lever but I think we can all agree that's less than ideal. Any increase in scraping with the footboard extenders on it?

Okay I got my 15" medium tint Freedom Shield. I guess they got a bad batch of medium tint stock so it delayed it a few days but John was all over it keeping me informed and overall it was here easily within a reasonable time frame. Very nice product, again I am almost 6'3" with a 34" inseam and for touring purposes it is perfect. It looks really good, but I'll admit especially from the riders perspective it's not as sporty looking as the stock shield due to a fuller side edge profile. I've elected for now to keep the stock shield in place for local mountain type rides, and swap to the Freedom Shield for extended trips and highway use. Nothing negative about it, and maybe looking through it would get me used to the new look but it's just not as "sleek" looking to me.

Welcome from GA.  I also have the extended brake pedal and a Freedom shield. I am only 5'11" so I went with the 14". yes it is not as cool but it does keep a lot of stuff off of me and in the rain it makes a big difference. I toyed with swapping it but decided to just keep in on. The bike is beautiful and yes I am partial to blue as well. HA
