Only 11K on the front sucks, Judy! I remember we talked about this in another thread.

I replaced my rear tire at about 11K miles. I was kind of disappointed, but I don't ride like a little old man on the way to church!

The original front is still going strong with plenty of tread at 17.5K miles.

I run 40 PSI in both tires.

Ken

Ken, I'm inclined to think I had a bad tire because after changing both tires my MC feels and steers better than it ever did with the original.  Brian (110tHunDer) accused me of riding to fast in reverse!   :'( :D. We will see how many miles I get on this new set.

I am down to 4/32 or so, but my mechanic told me it would last til my 15k tuneup. I am completely covered on tire and tune ups, so, no worries on cost, at least. I am at 14,300 on Scarlett.

I've been amazed at the OEM tires. I'm over 19k miles and the tread still looks to have some life in it. My last bike (Yamaha Road Star) never got much over 10k if I recall. I have nothing but praise for the these things!

First rear I changed at 19 and some change and still had some tread left. I waited a couple months and then did the front, it also had some thread left so a little more than 20 k on that.Probly that set was 2 to 1, one up vrs 2 up riding. So we will see on second set as just now at 10 k and looks like plenty of wear left. And this is the OEM Dunlops.

I will replace mine at 15,000 probably would go further but no need to risk it. I ride it hard off the line ad have done 4 burnouts and still got 15,000 out of it. I am going back with the same tire.

Still don't have the load rating in 18" size; theirs is only 74 rated, vs. the 80/81 we need.
