110 and Stage 1
« on: March 11, 2009, 02:50:12 PM »

I'm know this has probably gone around here over and over but I really need some clarification.

I took my SERG in yesterday for the 1,000 mile service and while there saw a guy on an '09 SEUC.  He had just put rhinehart trueduals on his bike and was gong to do the stage 1 install.

My question is do the SE bikes come with the stage 1 download?  I think the air filter on his UC maynot be the same as the one on SERG and a change might be needed for better airflow.

I'm thinking about changing out the mufflers to somethat that has better flow but I don't want to lose the look the stock mufflers have with the extended bags.  What have you used?

I like the power I'm getting from the 110 but would like to let it flow easier and make cooler.  What are your suggestions? (without causing a warranty problem).

Any and all comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

HI James,

If you look through the SERG threads, you'll find all your anwers.  The thread 110mofo showed you concerns drilling / removing your cat. Very good start.  Search "fullsac" and you'll find information re mufflers.  Here is a thread about SERG owners finding power:   09 FLTRSE3 Dyno Results   http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=27693.0

Good luck!

Thanks for the info.

I apologize for not doing the search myself but I'm a new guy here and still finding my way around.

Hey Marty:
Let me know if you ever make it down this way, it's a great place.  Has your friend ever told you about Royal Reds?  Ask him about the next time you talk.

No apologies required.  I'm sorry if I sounded harsh!  Welcome.

Hey Greg:
I didn't take your comments as harsh; I really do appreciate all the help.  I like this site almost as much as I like my new road glide.

I wonder why people rag on RGs so much, the more I look at it the more I like the looks; it's got great lines and a sleek aerodynamic flow.

I'm a proud new member of the CVO and RG families.

Remove the cats ( by taking them out or replacing the head pipes) and check out the Fullsac baffles.  You keep the stock look on the outside, but they sound great and open it up.  You'll learn to find your way around this site quickly and you'll find ways to spend your money that you never dreamed of.

Welcome, it's nothing that hours and hours of reading won't solve.  But these guys really know their stuff. I've learned so much on this site. Problem is, it's costing me more money!
