Fuel filler cap
« on: June 17, 2014, 05:04:50 PM »

Went to fill up with fuel for the first time today and what a struggle to get the cap,off !

Anyone else had trouble with getting the fuel filler cap off?

Very tight and not a lot to grip.

I did the same thing today... What the hell,  I was worried I might scratch my pain.. Got to find a filler cap that's a little bit taller.

Sorted it out !
When you put the cap back on just one click and then it's locked and when you come to take it off its fine, too many clicks when replacing it leads to the opening being very stiff!

I also have trouble with my cap.  sometimes it doesn't click, just over tightens.  I think the cap is defective.

I had the same problem with my SESg a couple of weeks ago.  It would not pop up, and had to use a pocket knife to gently pop it up.  I went to the dealer and they replace the whole fuel cap assembly under warranty.
