I'm the voice from experience. Rossmeyer in ft Lauderdale did that to me in 2003 on an anniversary eg classic. They we closing and I did everything the next day with them over the phone,,, what they did was wrong,, they sold it just before I was heading there with their money to pick it up. Needless to say I bought elsewhere,, but I definitely learned my lesson,, give them a deposit of you want someone to hold anything for you. Stuart.

If it's a bike you really want, I believe a deposit is the only way to go. I heard my dealer had gotten a SESG in back in Sept . By the time I got there that day, it was already sold. I decided that since that bike was going to be in high demand, I better make deal on one before it arrived. I found out that the next one coming in was the Hard Candy Mercury. Which is the color I liked best. Made a deal with the GM and gave him a deposit that day. That was back on Sept 10th, and I just pick the bike up tonight.
