Saddlebag guards--black or chrome?
« on: November 22, 2014, 12:29:11 AM »

I always put the saddlebag guards on the bikes---to hold my drink holder, and it also protects the bags just in case......can't decide on black or chrome. Chrome will stand out and match the engine guard, but they put black supports on the bottom of the bags and I am thinking the black will blend in and not be a noticeable which would be a good thing. But will it look stupid not matching the engine guard??Opinions??

I've just bought black ones for my SERK but I think chrome for your bike.

I would suggest changing the engine guard to black. Either by replacing the existing one or having the existing one powder coated, and using the black saddlebag guards. With the black front end I think that theme should be carried through to the other components of the bike and leave the contrasting chrome to the engine and exhaust area only.
Also, get rid of the reflectors on the front forks.
Just my thoughts.

Scoot is too pretty for saddlebag guards and drink holder. But if you do....chrome.

Chrome  Mike.     Gotta match the engine guard.   If that was black,I would say black.  I think it's a smart move to add them. I never did,, but it sure does the bags good just in case,,, let us know what you end up doing.   Stuart

Black and powder coat engine guard black as well. Chrome does not match theme set by the black front end. I'm surprised the engine guard wasn't black from MOCO.

I'd match the engine guard...so chrome unless you change to black.

Chrome. Well worth it. Lower saddlebag replacements are $1000.

Chrome. If you weren't putting drink holders on, I would say powder engine guard and go all black. I think the drink holders will vibrate and ware the shine off of the black guards.
