Hi all
Has anyone else had the same issue, i was cleaning the bike today and found that the tip of the front fender has a paint blemish that seems to be spreading, it is about 1 inch up from the tip and about the size of a quarter.
It is rough to touch and dull, (there are no stone chips anywhere) BUGGER.
I will visit the dealer next week, hope they do the right thing !!!

There are so many layers of clear that it's probably a chip, or it could be a layer of clear coat that wasn't prepped properly.

When Joe paint my fender, I think he said there was 8 layers!

If it's rough to the touch, you are feeling the metal flake.  The means the clear coat is messed up. Ma good body shop should be able to spray another layer of clear coat.

Hi Guys
New guard arrived today no charge all covered under warranty. Harley said RUST under the paint..
Check your bike out before it runs out of warranty.

Glad it worked out for you. Your original post was back in May. Did you have to wait 5 months for the new one or did you get to the dealer at a later date to show them the flaw?

HaHa, the guard was ordered way back then and was on back order, yep its taken that long ?? Hopeless i know but what do you do ??
