Road Glide Fairing Alignment
« on: October 23, 2016, 09:21:07 AM »

My fairing seems to be leaning to the left on my RG. Is there an adjustment process?

you can do some minor adjustment by the fairing/turn signal mounts.  measure the distance from the center of the frame to the fairing mount, both left and right.  if they are not the same, loosen either one or both and 'jiggle' them into place where the measurements on both sides are equal.

don't know if that will give you enough adjustment, but can't hurt to try.

I doubt this is the problem, but you can check behind and below the speedo bezel assembly where the main fairing bracket bolts to the bike and see if possibly this is loose or was never in alignment. Remember it bolts to the frame here and on the other end to the fairing.
I changed my 09 SERG fairing mount to a 10 model bracket so that I could use vented lowers and I remember (this was 6 years ago) that we checked square prior to tightening the bolts on this bracket. But I think if this was very far out of alignment the outer brackets that bolt to the crash bar would not connect correctly, but you could check.
