It was.  There's a lot that Zippers does wrong (support after the fact, general verity, and the band plays on) but that cam isn't one of their failings.  It's a good cam for your engine.  Early and strong torque curve.  I ran it for a couple years.  Never a complaint.  It's a really good cam choice.

Thanks for the information Don.
It certainly looks like it covers my average rpm range.I like to maintain 2000 RPMs and above at all times and rarely do I see 5000 RPMs. It sounds like the 575 will fit right in my normal RPM Range, with some added TQ.

Just looked back through some old records Dennis and found the report numbers from the tune after the install of the 575 cams in what used to be my 05.  Same 103 engine as your bike and your bike is lighter.  Following are HP~TQ numbers in 500 RPM increments starting at 2000 RPM.  Tuner was an artist with the dyno named John Golden (now retired).  As always they'll vary a bit from bike to bike and dyno to dyno.  But for purposes of illustrating the shape of the curve here you go:

2000        2500      3000       3500       4000     4500      4500       5000      5500

33~86   42~90   57~96   72~104   83~108   90~102   96~98   101~93   104~90

Lower production runs, fully machined, from higher quality materials, with better design features, would account for the higher costs, on these parts, but we are all aware of that, anyway. :)

Yes.  But fortunately sometimes the distinction between good and better really is at a peripheral margin.  So we don't need to spend more just because we can.  Goes against the rules of ownership.  But sometimes it works out.

They just seem like a better mouse trap, from this side of the fence. :)
