2012 CVO street Glide excessive right side heat

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

If your bike still has the stock exhaust change it to a head pipe without the catalytic converter.  There are many discussions on this forum pertaining to exhaust heat, do a search.

Since you are new I hope further posts will be patient in addressing your inquiry.  You are certainly correct in experiencing noticeable heat increases from other Harley's you may have owned.  Several factors contribute to the issue and there is considerable information here to help you.  Using the search engine is a good way to research the problem in the Street Glide section and/or engine/exhaust section.

The catalytic converter located in the header pipes (where they come together) is a big contributor.  Many of us have either cut out the converter and re-welded the pipes or replaced the whole thing while doing the mufflers at the same time.  A tuner and re-map of the ECM is generally recommended at this point.  A good tune will balance the air/fuel mixture and also help reduce heat. 

There are additional "fixes" that help including external cooling fans like Ward's Werks and others.  This too can be searched here.  Heat deflectors under the seat seem like common mods as well. 

There are a few "band-aide" solutions available, but if you really want to mitigate the problem you need to spend some money. IMO you will be able to lower the temps to an acceptable level (depending on personal tolerance) but it IS an air cooled 110, they run hot.
