I have a 7" Freedom Shield with the recurve which works great for me. I'm just about the same height and inseam as you. If it's going on 15 CVO SG I think a 7" or 8" will work fine for you.

I got a 10 inch LRS and it worked perfectly. But I also changed seats from stock to the Hammock, which raises you up a bit. The LRS works great but I am not crazy about the looks. So I got a 8.5 inch Klockwerks. Absolutely love it. Tint is almost identical to stock and looks great and works great too. Hope this helps.

Just put a Hammock Seat on mine also. I will probably build a mock up out of cardboard to get the right height. Have always had good success with LRS great customer service not so with Klockworks first one I had was on a Road Glide looked good but was so flimsy that it cracked after 3 months

I need  to upgrade my screen as well, the stock screen for my 2015 CVO pushes the wind straight into my forehead. Will the KlockWeks 8.5 throw it up higher or is it the same as the stock windshield?

thanks

I'm 5'9" and put a 9" LRS Ultra on mine, which I can see over on level ground. This is with the stock seat. I do plan on changing the seat, in the future. It should be at the perfect height then. Over all, great shield, excellent wind protection, scratch resistance and I for one, like the looks. Plus they run specials on them all the time. Got mine for 60% off.

Just ordered a freedom shield last Friday and on Saturday they advertised 20% off all shields for Black Friday sale. The Owner sent me an email informing me he would credit my credit card bill 20%. I would never had known about the sale if he had not contacted me.

Order now and save 20% with a good honest company.

I have a 2016 and just bought the 7" Freedom Shield.  Maybe the 2016 is taller than the 2015 but the 7" is less than an inch taller than stock CVO shield.

It works about the same also.  I am 5' 11" and with either half helmet or full face buffetting is pretty bad.  What am I doing wrong?

Maybe 8"?

Thanks

I have a 15 and ride with the 7", half helmet 90% of the time at 5'11" I don't have a issue. A 8" or 9" will work better for you if your not happy with the 7". Will the 8" or 9" be to high for you? Did you get the 7" Recurve windshield?

As far as I know yes I did.  It has a slight curve.  I think an 8" will probably do it.  I read about so many success stories on the 7" for those my height I figured that was the one.

Gotcha. Give the 8" a try, hopefully that will do it for ya. You don't want to get wrapped up trying different sizes and if they don't work pay the shipping to send them back for a taller size. You are and will experience some buffeting coming up towards you off the lowers as well. Riding with the fairing vent open seems to help for me. Good luck, keep us posted.

John at Freedom is sending me an 8".  Also, just for kicks, I ordered a factory Ultra 10" without a curve.  I want to make a comparison.

Thanks again

I am 5ft 10" with an inseam of 30.  Watch what shield you  go with.  They all are a little different in height even when they have the same size posted .  I have a 8 1/2 klockwerks and my line of site is about 2 inches above the top.  For long trips I will put on my 10 LRS.  No bugs or wind at all will hit my face. Also helps on the volume for the radio.   hope this helps
