Hey Gamma,

Sorry for the delay.  It has been crazy at work. Here is the part # 58928-08.  It works perfectly ( Although a little tight)

Here is the link to HD website

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448771303&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302286961&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302286961&bmUID=1225196951512&bmLocale=en_US

I will try and post pics tonight or you can PM me with your email and I will send some shots off my phone ASAP.

I think the 2 bag model is the way to go. Most of what I have read elsewhere, people have bought the 3 bag only to later cut the two end ones off and keep the center one.

:)  I've seen that.  The whole "mold" and "windshield rub" thing pretty much keeps me steering clear of those bags.  The fairing lower cover pouches are probably great stowage, but they look so..........Gypsy.

Had the three bag on my 02 Ultra.  Very useful bag, but rubbed the windshield.  I masked a line across the windshield about three inches above the bottom - used sandpaper to rough up the windshield - spray painted with flat black (two coats).  Looked great, but after a couple of years the bag rubbed holes in the paint.

I would be afraid that the bags would damage the dash pad.

So far, I have decided to do without the windshield bag on my 08

I have the 3 bag on mine. I put some fine felt on the bottom of it before installing. Worried aboiut rubbing on the dashpad. 2 years & no problems. Probably going to go a 2 pouch because I'm putting a Clockworks windshield on. A 3 pouch won't work when I do that. THE MUFFMAN

That's the one!!!

I have a 9.5" Clearview Shield w/Recurve.

I think that one looks best sitting on the dashpad. What do you guys think???

That would be Fantastic!!

I really want a Bag up there mainly because I wear glasses and need to switch between the riding glasses and non-riding.. It also would be nice for other things such as MP3 Player and garage door remote.

Since you've got the Garage Door opener issue resolved let me see if I can give an alternative for the glasses:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448769600&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309149290&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309149290&bmUID=1225310756628&bmLocale=en_US

I saw in your pic that you have the lowers on the bike yet.  I do too and I put these glove box door covers on my bike and I keep the sun glasses in one and the night glasses in the other.  They velcro down tight so they don't fall out or slide around and the inside of the pocket is a soft material so they don't scratch like they did when I kept them in my windshield bag.  In fact after adding these, I stopped using the windhsield bag and never transferred it onto my CUSE3 when I bought it.  It's a breeze to reach down and switch, even when in motion.  And as a bonus I can keep the cell phone in the empty one, and plug it into the cigarette lighter without any problem.

There are some disadvantaged, just to give you all the facts.  A)  they do get wet when it rains or if I hose wash it (almost never do I do that). B) they're out in the open where they can get stollen, so if you're using a really expensive set of glasses and you're parking some where questionable you'd want to drop them in the TP before leaving the bike.  That's true of the Windshield bag too, but they're more visable on the Glove Box door.

Hope that helps.

That is another option..

How do they attach to the lowers? Not wanting to damage the covers..

They slip over the entire cover, but when installed, present a Jed Clampet truck appearance.  It just "hangs," and looks like you've jury rigged a pouch to an otherwise smooth line.  JMNSHO.

They don't look that bad in the H-D picture but after your discription.. Well I think I'll pass.

I plan to remove the lowers during summers anyway. Which is most of the time here in San Diego.

I have the three bag on my '08 CUSE3 and it does rub the stock windshield but I don't care.  I had not thought about the mold between the dash pad and the bags, but I keep it clean and use a warm blown air dryer for drying the bike.  I forget the brand name, but H-D has one.

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448772714&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302491567&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302491567&bmUID=1225372517538&bmLocale=en_US

I have had items become scratched from being in the windshield bags so I don't put anything in there that can become scratched.  I have seen the glove box locking covers after market and now H-D has them.

Someone on this site has a "red bike" with those pouches.  No offense, but.......... :puke:

I can't figure out anywhere else to put my spare.  :)

I guess I need to start another post to address that.
