AAA Harley
« on: August 28, 2009, 08:18:52 PM »

Saw this at a lacal HD funtion. Owned by Dick's Automotive and Towing in Campbell Ca.. Painted AAA yellow and funtional! The tour pack holds a 19 lb. 11/2 ton aluminum jack and other assorted tools as do the bags. They are looking into a tow hitch/trailer to tow motorcycles.
Don't really know the funtionality of the bike, but it draws a lot of attention. Three brothers run the shop and ride HD's. Real nice guys.
The rear LED lights flash like a regular tow truck.

That reminds me.......when I was a moderator on the NHTOC forum (Harley truck owners forum) there was a guy right here in Sacramento that bought a new 02 supercharged Harley F-150 and immediatly had it painted the AAA yellow.  He owns a tow service here in Sacramento.

I went to meet him.  Had a bed cover on it.  Lifter the bed cover and he had one of the new laser key cuttig machines mounted in the bed.  Was able to make a key on the spot for any car, including those that have the chip in the key.  Just set up really nice for what it was. Of course, I guess in both cases, their tax deductable. :nixweiss:

AvD in Germany is the smaller of the two automobile clubs (ADAC is the big one). In 2005 they got five E-Glides to provide services to cage drivers caught up with a defect in a autobahn traffic jam. I think, however, they've already replaced the bikes with a different brand.

Ride safely,
