what are you running as far as audio goes
« on: October 22, 2014, 02:08:23 AM »

I am looking at upgrading my stock audio system this winter and am wondering what others are running , 2010 cvo street glide with fairing speakers only
I was thinking of adding the rockford fosgate pbr 300 amp but not sure about deck and speakers , I want to be able to hook the deck so I can still use handlebar controls and bluetooth connectivity would be nice

Check out the Biketronics website.  I have the 7.1 inch speakers (which are basically the very good HAT speakers) in the upper fairing and in the rear pods.  Got the BT4180 amp and Sony head unit with Biketronic harness.  Very easy to install, and works well.  If I remember correctly, everything was just over $1100.  You can easily spend thousands more upgrading the system, but the sound will be only marginally better.

Huge improvement over stock, but there's nothing that will give you hifi sound as you fly down the road at 70mph.

Good Luck!

'09 SERG
HK head unit, Iron Cross Audio Preamp Outs, Bluetooth, Rear Aux.

J&M Audio, Rokkers / XTs in the fairing / vented lowers, Rokker 500w Amp mounted in the fairing.

Clear music to around 90...

Great customer service from both Iron Cross and J&M!

I went with the delux package from HogTunes.  I love it it maintains all harley controls like AVC auto volume control went you come to a stop the volume comes down, I like that!

They were the hot item, But now have tweeter issues. I would stay away from them
One choice i will be going with is the Infinity Kappa 62.11i  its a 2 Ohm 6.5 Will fit the rear tour pak with no mods, But will need rings on the fairing side

I'm enjoying my J&M 7.25" Rokker XX fairing speakers with the Hawg Wired GTK150 Tweeter kit paired with the J&M Rokker XT-P, 250 watt, 2 channel amp.

I will be in Galveston Texas in a little less than 2 weeks where I am handing the SERK over to Pete with Soundz Customz for his level 4 upgrade. Focal speakers with an upgraded amp. Can't wait.

Congrats You wont be dissapointed, the rockford fosgate puts out to much heat and wont last long, the arc is most reliable and great power, the focals are the best speakers out there.Pete is a great guy to deal with also.
