So I made a somewhat last minute decision to attend the Sturgis 75th Anniversary Rally this year when I saw how many of the CVO Harley.com people were going to be in attendance. Luckily I was able to scare up a room at the Hilton Garden Inn, Rapid City and 2 roomates from the CVO group, CAMCVO and JPB aka John. We all arrived on Sunday Aug 2nd and proceeded to get to know each other over dinner and drinks. The planning commenced. We arranged to do some things together and others separately.

Here was my resulting agenda for the week in the Black Hills.

Monday - Wall Drug and the Badlands, been 35+yrs since the last time I had visited Wall, SD
Tuesday - Hill City, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore
Wednesday - Black Hills Harley, Sturgis and Deadwood as I figured most everyone would run out to Hulett looking for Commandos
Thursday - Sturgis, Hulett and Devil's Tower
Friday - pack and head home with a stop in Colorado (Rainy forecast made me decide to head home early)
Saturday - completed the trip home, remind me never to move to Denver - Traffic from Thornton to Denver was miserable.

Here here we go ..

Monday - First stop, Wall Drug in Wall, SD

Tuesday - First Stop, Hill City



Quite a lot of trinkets and artwork available in Hill City shops.



Wonder if they have any Beaver Pelts from Hulett available?

Lot's of nice textile and leather work clothes, again this is art. Prices ranges from $650 to $750 for leather shirts and jackets.
