2012 CVO Dyno Test! DX Pipe, 25 Kury Cams!
« on: June 04, 2016, 12:50:55 PM »

Jon Goldby of England, coolest guy I have met in a long time. Ships his bike over from the UK and takes a leisurely 2 month ride all by himself around the States. Decides to ride by my place and get his bike tuned up. Tells me he has a 25 Kury cam, headwork by Fast Lane in the UK, my DX Pipe, 2.0 muffler cores and a TTS Tuner. Never heard of Fast Lane or known of anyone using a Kury 25? I looked up the specs on the Kury 25 and thought we would see about 105 HP max. When it was all said and done we were both a little surprised and very pleased! Nice combination of parts that made big TQ very early and 1HP per cube with the stock ventilator bolted in place!

Good Job Fast Lane!  http://www.fastlaneheadwork.co.uk/

Special Thanks to Jon Goldby of the UK for riding with a Fullsac!

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the kind words. It was great to meet you and spend time at Fullsac Performance.
Even from my Chevy drag racing days, I don't think I've ever met someone who understands tuning engines as well as you clearly do. Although I'd assembled the components, it wasn't until you tuned her on the Dyno that she really transformed into what I'm riding now.
She runs beautifully and pulls so smoothly through all gears. I'm very impressed to say the least !!
Thanks again Steve, great job.

Alex at Fastlane does seem to be a top bloke.

Puts a lot of great really informative posts on the HDRCGB forum without turning them into sales pitches. From when I was in touch with him about cam upgrade options there was no overselling or upselling at all and he was happy to look into GMR 577s as an option despite not having dealt with GMR before (sadly my upgrade options were put on hold because of a house move).

He'll be getting my bike when it's time to lift the heads.

Sadly, one thing that is lacking in the UK is dyno tuners with experience of HD and experience of anything other than Power Commanders.  I believe Alex had access to tuner near him and he’d been working with the guy to get him familiar with SEPST.

Cheers

Stock TB and Ventilator AC. Would have seen an easy 3 HP / 3TQ gain going with the SE Heavy Breather.
