Sky pretty much answered this but to add you do need to remove the overlay harness as it will not fit very well if at all under the seat when not in use. There really is no reason to keep it on the bike anyway. The other cables that you would have left over are the passenger headset and the rear speaker pod connections. These will fit without problem. Thanks much.  Not sure when I will start this project but it is an eventuality.  I will wait until I am ready to start to get more info.  Bikes I have seen without the tour pack look great.

hello all ; i  have  put a  detach  tp  on my 06  cuse..  i  put  the amp  in the right side saddlebag , all the  other wires fit under my badlander  seat very nicely .. thanks

up grades - true duals , vance & hines slash cuts , power commander , KN super sucker -w/ chrome base , smart siren II w/ pager ,chrome inner primary ,engine lites ,L.E.D tail lites ,chrome windshield molding ,oil temp guage into fairing, speaker trim rings ,radio trim piece , etc.

Sold mine on eBay too and honestly haven't missed it a bit. Sure improved the appearance of the rear fender as you well know.

It's been several months now but as I recall it was just over $200 plus another $50 for the harness. All proceeds were quickly converted into chrome.    :bananarock:
