Roger's bits and pieces
« on: April 25, 2007, 08:28:35 PM »

Well, if you've run across some of the stuff I have on the table for the bike it has all come in and is going together today and tomorrow.

The upgrades and add ons for this run started out as the Traxxion fork upgrade and then we added Progressive 440's to the list, somewhere along the way I ran into the True Track thread again and then one was sitting on the parts counter at the dealership so I told them to throw it on.

I then called them back about the Sta-bo II bushings and they said no problem we can get them and I left it at that.  Well today when i got to the shop for a few pics, low and behold it isn't Sta-bo's they got it's the True Track brass balls.....well not really but brass bushings.  I think True Track calls it Tracula. I guess I may the guinea pig on this mod if no one else has it.

Then we added the Bad As Hell fork cap I had laying around for a few months along with the eGlide Goodies hard doors since the other ones don't seem to be coming along.  They also mounted the Street Glide light and did the regulator recall.  While all this was going on I got the email from the MoCo on some new accessories, one of which is the run/brake mod for the Street Glide LED so I got it too.

Anyway, until I get it back here are a few pics of it coming along.

Progressives...........

Nice pictures and writeup Roger.  I had to take Traxxion's decals off when I was done.  Regarding the TrueTrack bearing blocks, I think you have to take the swing arm apart to install those???  Let us know please.  I also like the LED on the Tourpack where you have it.

The bushings/bearing blocks include a new pivot arm so the assembly does have to come off and get replaced.

Everything should be nice and tight when we're done, just so she doesn't ride like a buckboard I'll be fine if it hanles like it's on a rail. :2vrolijk_21:

There's a thread on locating the LED on the tour pack, it works out great, looks good and is effective as a brake light and running light.  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=3916.135

Roger,
Looking good, and you've got some great mods going on there. :2vrolijk_21: However you know the OCD hit me when I saw those shocks and that plain sprocket. I can't say to much since I still have the stock (black) shocks, but I did get the billet to match my wheels rear sprocket. Hell why it's at the shop go ahead and put a chrome cover on that sprocket at least. ;) ;D

See, this is the problem with following the site mantra  :worthless: it always leads too more stuff.......damn it. ::)

Besides, it's really Cindy's bike and I'm not sure she can afford that sprocket goodie. :huepfenlol2:

Ok, since you want pictures. Here is what a billet sprocket to match wheels would look like. If you really want to do it right see if you can get a billet sprocket to match your wheels and get rid of the mismatch cast one all together.

BTW - Didn't notice chrome lower belt guard either. :o

Also Cindy wouldn't mind the bling. What woman doesn't like bling. Besides she does want you to be happy. ;)

Very nice, what I was getting at about the pics though is that when I posted my naked sprocket while showing the Progressives.  If I simply hadn't brought this all up, no one would know I had a naked sprocket, now the whole friggin' world knows and that most likely just won't do now will it?

When I was fat (er) life, was a lot simpler, I couldn't bend over far enough to realize I needed a lower chrome belt cover either.

Hey Rog, that's some cool chit you have going on there! Those Billet Sprockets are expensive. They don't even make it to match my wheel on a Touring Bike. Since it's behind the bags, look at the Chrome Sprocket Cover instead. It's about $40 or so. I dig those Fork Caps too. I think Puzzled gets them. Hmmm. I'm waiting for the ride report. That thing should ride friggin' great! Enjoy it man! Hoist! 8)

Thanks Howie, I'm holding back my enthusiasm until I can get it on the road.

Puzzled does have the fork caps.  I have had mine in a box for some time and just never got around to getting it on the bike.  Puzzled's price is better than I got as well.

The chrome overlay is most likely the way I'd go.
