While I own some weapons for home defense and sport, I am very curious about any true stories of if anyone here has had to use their weapon that they "carry" on their bike or other situations. I know about "peace of mind" very well, but am truly interested in actual experiences.
Thank you very much...
That's a good question I'd be interested in too. Never had to use mine yet but a time or two I was sure glad I had it in my pocket! Having someone of the rough nature scoping you out or someone asking you for money on the rough side of town always puts a little edge on the possibility's??

Never pulled and leveled it, but have gripped my .45 a couple of times hoping the situation wouldn't warrant a draw. Imho, that's a huge deal and I hope I never get to that threshold.

I keep mine hid, I like the element of surprise.
Yeah me to Most people where I live carry GUNS legal or not Mostly concealed Your best defense, Is to be aware of your surroundings Dont get caught slippen(street slang,For not paying attention)I go to the range 4 or 5 times a month,But as most of you know if someone has the drop on you,Dont be reaching for your gun. Timing is everything ,dont let adreniline get you killed,Use your mind, think and react to the situation. What Im saying is #1 if there trying to ROB a biker, there comin at you guns drawn and in a hurry! When your getting gas or leaving a bar or anywhere for that matter ,Keep your head on a swivel and know who's around you GOOD LUCK

Today I played around with a Beretta A400, semi auto shotgun. OMG , you could carry it if you wear a trench coat, but that thing is chambered 3.5 and shoots 6 shells in less than 3 seconds. Great weapon. Awesome review here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA-BHnfmnis&feature=player_embedded

Have owned various versions of the SPAS-12 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchi_SPAS-12) for over 20years & if you're interested in a GREAT combat shotgun for home defense I highly recommend--it's incredible reliable & practically indestructible... Cheers, Moose

This is my newest 1911, an Ed Brown Executive Elite Centennial edition. 7 months to get after I ordered it. Blued with Ivory grips, extended magwell, flush barrel crown, recessed slide lock pin, 10-8 rear sight, novak gold bead front, serrated rear of slide to match sight serration. 3.5 pound trigger. Got the pro-tech knife to match.

If it's gonna be a 'carry' weapon, and not a safe-queen, let us know how it shoots. Looks great. spyder

If it's gonna be a 'carry' weapon, and not a safe-queen, let us know how it shoots. Looks great. spyder Its not a safe queen, put 150 rounds though it the day I got it. Put another 150 though it the following week end. Shoots like a dream, the slide is smooth as silk, the trigger is great. A lot like my Ed Brown Special Forces. The gun is far more accurate than I am. It has not had one hick-up. As for Carry, it will be an occasional Carry, I have a Milt Sparks VMII for it. My winter carry is usually my Les Baer Stinger, a Commander size. Summer is usually my Kimber Ultra CDP, a 3" barrel .

Anyone own or had any experiences with a Glock Model 36? It's a single stack .45 making it a slimmer carry gun that I think I'm interested in! I have two full size Glocks and like them a lot! Too big to carry with out a long loose shirt or a jacket! I usually carry a Keltec .380 in my front pocket during the summer.
