I just bought a set of #43857-00 finned headbolt covers for my 06SEUC, got them home and they don't match to the color of the heads, did I get the wrong part###, could my heads be getting lighter with age? I know I live in AZ, and the sun is hot............but?? whats up with this?

Do you have a picture of them next to your heads. There probably is going to be a slight difference in color but shouldn't be something that drastic.

Even on the H-D website when they show the part installed you can notice a slight difference.

You can also notice a slight difference on mine also..

I think it's just the way they are made.

Sure doesn't look right to me. I'd take them back and compare to another set. I'd also leave the mounting hardware on until you check. PITA for sure.

I would agree. I'd take them back and compare to another pair at the store maybe you just got a bad set.

Are the new bikes different than the older ones?

Gary's didn't look that dramatic and I don't recall mine being that different either.

Not a close match at all, TC.  Not sure why your fins would be so different re: color.

Try another set?

the 08's have a darker color???

That might be the problem they may be for '08's that got put in the wrong package.
