Bayou Biker down (but not out)
« on: September 14, 2008, 05:09:32 PM »

My good buddy Tom AKA Bayou Biker, had the miss fortune of laying down the Cherry Jester on the railroad tracks on the way home from the French Quarter last night.  Besides the damage to the bike, Tom left some skin from his legs and elbow on the street.  He seems in good spirits considering what happened.  He'll be dinning on Percocets for the next week or so, and after that getting the Jester back up and running will be the priority.  Good luck buddy!  Dean.

Sorry to hear of your mishap, Tom...  Take care of yourself and then get your ride repaired and back in the wind!

Thanks y'all.     I am doing well, so far.    :2vrolijk_21:

The short version:
Going around a curve w/ RR tracks a little fast.    Slid on the tracks over to the road shoulder, went thru a pothole full of water & was airborne (I think), hit the ground at a angle (w/ wet tires), went down and on the left side and spun across a couple lanes of traffic.  All I remember is 'When will I stop spinning?'  :stars:

I will post a couple photos, as soon as the AM pills kick in...  :orange:
