Normal, when the exchange is made, the dealer ask the confidentiality about this transaction.

I got that part Jacques, but I've never heard of an exchange being made.  I've heard of the MOCO being forced to take back product under lemon law, but never exchange.  It's a great thing...........I just hope the same or like problems don't plague the new bike.

My dealer had not played with the MoCo only with HD France.
I've sent only one letter to HD France and copy to my dealer.
Three weeks later, I've received the offer at no cost.
Before I receive my '08, the dealer had found a new customer for my '07.

In Europe, since 2005, we've a law (similar to Lemon law)  but more restrictive for the seller.
The object, independantly of the warranty time (1 or 2 years), is made for a function and service.
If the service and/or function is not given to the customer, it's possible to ask the reparation or the replacement or the exchange.
The customer choose one of these.

I am so glad I read this thread.  For some reason I thought a Victory motorcycle was proffered as a replacement bike after an argument with HD.  In fact, the European HD has done more than we have heard of here in the US, and they stood behind thier customers.  Good to hear.
