Moved/merged your thread with this one since someone earlier (Reply #344) had posted about them closing and provided a copy of the email they received from Zanotti.

I didn't read all 348 posts, but Mills HD in Burlington NJ was the oldest dealer in NJ and shut down, as did Trenton HD.  Millville HD in South Jersey shut both its stores- Millville and Wildwood HD-after probably 40 or more years.  Seems like big box dealers getting bigger and smaller dealers falling off the map?

Paramount HD in Framingham, Ma. Closing their dealership October 28,2011

I always wondered how those "cold weather" states support HD dealerships when there is a limited riding season.

Those two got some bad local press back in the spring when it happened.  Not so much for the fact that they closed but that it was done with apparently zero notice to anyone.

I liked the Wildwood store too.  Had been there a few times and always found it to be a fun place in a fun location.

I'm on a 'break' in Arizona and stopped by Superstition HD in Apache Junction.....they quit doing rentals Dec 1st.....not very much for Motor Clothes....and less than half a showroom of bikes with a bunch of those being the rental fleet for sale. Makes me wonder how long they will last.

Chester's in Mesa looks like business as usual.

Grizzly,

Motown changed its name a few years back to Biker Bob's.  They are still open.  We have 3 in the metro area now, Biker Bob's (south side in Taylor I believe), Motor City HD (Farmington Hills, west side) and Wolverine (Mt Clemens, east side).
