Ascending into Paradise........

Terrie and got up this morning and headed out, just not sure where we were going but headed in a direction that we don't normally go..........north.  As it ended up, just like the picture says, we ascended into Paradise, Calif.

thats so funny... I told Don tonight I was going on the site to see where Jc and Terrie went today.
And here it is. Im so glad Terrie got this new bike. Just seems to have made her a happy rider!! :)

The happy camper........


We found a little road off of Hwy. 70 that heads to a little community called Cherokee, Calif.  This road is one lane at times and goes for miles and miles back into the mountains, twisties, ups and downs.  One of those lost roads that I really like to find!  It ends up coming into Oroville the back way.

220 miles later we were back home.  Had a great time today.....weather was very nice.  Now we're prepared for the seven days of rain that's forecasted.  We need it......California is in a serious drought.

Oh man, I forgot to tell you (well, those who know her) about her major milestone.  Terrie lane split today.......for probably a mile!  Not only that, but for those who've heard her say "I'll never lane split.....I don't care what the situation is".........she started it and she led! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:  We're home free now baby! :pepper: :pepper: :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

Great photos! Thanks for posting! Very jeloous you can ride out there and our bikes are still under wraps but your ride report helps me get through the winter. Glad Terrie is enjoying her new ride so much!

I'm thinkin in 2010 we should have a Calif. GTG in the middle of winter.  Everybody can ship their bikes out here.......enjoy a week of what you'd all consider summer....forget the snow for a week......see what green looks like.....see what it's like to ride around in a t-shirt in Dec. or Feb.  What do ya think? :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:   

Well, actually, several have done it......and several more have plans currently to do it.  Of course I was just kiddin.  I'm not organizin anymore large GTGs........just the local (Calif.) things.  But anybody is welcome to join us. :nixweiss:

Thanks for the pics JC you guys are lucky to live in such close proximity to some of ca best roads. Terriez bike looks great and she hasnt quit smiling since she got it. Does she have her water bottle filled up with 5 hour energy drink?

Glad to see you guys out having fun riding and having a great time. April 15th is in sight now, can't wait, really itching to get back on the bike and ride down in May. So ride on and continue to post those pics, helps get us through our wait time until we can be with you.
