Matt (EagleGlider) and his wife Mel flew out to Nor Cal to spend some time with other family members that flew in from different parts of the country.  Matt & Mel rented a bike for a few days and the Nor Cal krew got together and did a tour ride of the area.

But first, Andy invited Matt, Mel, and several of the Nor Cal members up to his home last night to watch the UFC cage fights and just visit with each other.

This morning a number of members met at the Holiday Inn that Terrie & I, Matt & Mel stayed at last night. From there we took Hwy. 85 over to Hwy. 280 north to Woodside.  From there we rode up to Skyline on top and to Alice's Restaurant for breakfast. 

There, Chris & Anne (Ridin Ruby) were waiting for us.  Breakfast was good, company was great.  The weather forecast was for a high of 56 today however, as we were having breakfast we noticed that it was gradually warming and the overcast skys were starting to part and let a little sun shine in.

Sitting on the other end was our guests of the day, visiting from Florida.

Matt & Mel are relatively new on the forum (a couple of months) and haven't met many members yet.  But if the opportunity presents itself (don't wait for it to.......make it happen) do yourself a favor.....get to know them.  Great people!

This was 8:30 a.m. But on a typical weekend afternoon this parking lot will have a couple hundred motorcycles parked in it.......the same as the restaurant across the street.  It's a motorcycle meca.

At a stop light in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Jim & Sharon (Gadget) on the left and Matt & Mel on the rented Ultra Classic.  I was surprised to see that they were able to rent an Ultra Classic.

None of these cars are parked........it's a four lane road and they're all stopped at a red light.  The majority of Golden Gate Park was closed for a triathalon and so it created even worse traffic conditions than normal for SF.

We finally broke out of the traffic mess and were able to regroup on the roll.  Terrie gets excited as the Golden Gate bridge comes into view.

Well, on second thought.......I guess Terrie was leading the way.  Never thought there would ever come a time when I'd be telling her to slow down.

Our journey took us north on Hwy. 1 along the coast.......

We stopped in Tomales for lunch.  We were supposed to meet Don (Iselbulls) and Soozie (Bandangirl) at the Korbel Champagne winery at about 11:30 a.m. but we were still and hour and a half away and it was 12:30 p.m. and no cell reception (to call Don & Soozie to let them know).
