« on: June 22, 2009, 05:36:36 PM »

Guy in Sarasota Florida, Gulf Coast Autosport, 941-922-5335 has a kit to replace the ugly black rubber oil lines with Russell Braided S/S. It inc pre-cut tubing and all necessary fittings. Did mine, looks good. Takes about 15 minutes to install.

For some reason I do not have software to resize photos, I have to send them by email to my son in TX, I am in Fl. He resizes them then sends back to me. Pain in the ass, that is reason I usually have to email photos to anyone needing them.

If you have Microsoft Office you have software to resize pictures. Use the Microsoft Office Picture Manager to open the picture, select "Picture", "Change Size", change size to required proportion, save picture under a different name. Done. If you use Apple, ... well you'd know anyhow.
Hope that helps.
Ride safely,

That has to make the already messy chore of changing the filter worse?

I looks great...have you tried changing the filter yet?

I don't have microsoft picture manager, if I did I could resize pics. Not sure I want to download whatever else you were talking about, why doesn't the site upgrade and automatically resize to fit? No harder to change oil filter than before, Three ways, first way it just loosen filter and slide it out the frt, no problem, second way is to take the three nuts off the cooler and lift it up, makes clean-up a lot easier if you drip any oil on the bike and filter once again just slips out. It will still come out the left side like it always did, just have to push the lines out of your way while removing the filter.
No problem, if it were a problem it would still be worth it to not have the rubber lines across the regulator

Don't like the look of the clamps, a more polished fitting would be better, JMO

Answer to a couple of your questions. Harley uses a barbed fitting, not a pipe fitting on the cooler so you have no choice other than a slip over hose with a screw clamp, could use pipe type on eng side, but his stuff uses same clamps on both ends.
Yes he does install this at his shop. Call him, not sure what he charges for the kit shipped vs installed. Highjagger if you can't install this kit, park your bike, if you are not capable of using a screwdriver, no business driving a bike or car.
If you have other questions, want to use screwed/finished connectors on engine side vs the screw clamps, want different color ends or whatever, call him. He will work with you, I was just passing along the info. I am satisfied with mine.
